Sustainable Community Grants Program

The Sustainable Community Grants have closed for 2019 and funds been awarded.

The Ararat Wind Farm is proud to provide the Sustainable Community Grants fund for 2019, this being the 3rd year the program has pledged $65,000 to our community. The aim of the program is to provide financial support to promote social and environmental sustainability initiatives for the benefit of the communities within the municipalities of Ararat, Northern Grampians and the Pyrenees.

This year there were 26 applications seeking assistance with projects totalling $205,824, a total of $95,114 in funding. Of the 26 applications received, 17 were successful enabling $145,000 worth of projects to be undertaken across the three municipalities.

Unfortunately, the grants program isn’t able to fund all projects received so we encourage those that missed out this year to re-apply in the future.
